Trapeze

Originally, this trick is called Man On the Flying Trapeze, but that's a bit long, so it's shortened to Trapeze, in the Czech Republic you won't hear anything other than Trapéza. Trapéza is an extremely important trick, most of the others are based on it, and you have to be able to do the trapeze even blindly.

Start with a throw, the same as the Breakaway, but put the index finger of your left hand in the path of the yo-yo and let the yo-yo swing over your finger so that it lands on the string. At first, it's difficult to hit the yo-yo exactly on the string right from the throw, so feel free to throw the yo-yo in front of you when learning, let it swing, and only as a second step, throw the yo-yo over your finger.
