Dizzy Baby

Dizzy Baby builds on the Rock the Baby trick, but instead of swinging the yoyo, you let it spin and travel through the triangle shape. It is another popular picture trick, where the most important things are the correct string shape and good hand control.

How to do Dizzy Baby

Start with a solid Sleeper. Create the same triangle shape as in Rock the Baby, but instead of swinging the yoyo, let it spin and pass through the triangle. You can do the movement in both directions – forwards and backwards. When you finish, stop the yoyo, carefully release the shape, and wind the yoyo back up.

What to watch out for

Keeping the strings spread apart is even more important here than with Rock the Baby. Try to make the triangle as wide as possible so the yoyo has enough space to move smoothly. At the end of the trick, don’t release the string too quickly – the spinning motion can create a knot or a loop, especially when you are learning.

Which yoyo should you start with?

The best choice for beginners is a responsive yoyo – a yoyo for beginners that automatically returns with a tug. You don’t need to worry about complicated tricks or techniques yet – just focus on throwing, spinning, and bringing the yoyo back.

Features of responsive yoyos

  • Simple and intuitive control
  • Returns with a classic tug
  • Reliable and durable construction
