Creeper

Creeper is basically Walk the Dog with one extra step: before the yoyo returns to your hand, place your hand on the ground so the yoyo can travel back to you along the surface.

How to do Creeper

Creeper starts the same way as Walk the Dog. After a solid Sleeper, let the yoyo travel along the ground and instead of bringing it back immediately, place your hand in front of it so the yoyo can roll back towards you along the string.

Tips to make it work

It looks simple, but the timing is important. If the yoyo comes back before you manage to put your hand on the ground, wait until it travels farther away – or try placing your hand slightly “behind you”. The string needs to stay tight. Once it becomes loose, the yoyo will return immediately.

Which yoyo should you start with?

The best choice when starting is a responsive yoyo – a yoyo for beginners that automatically returns with a tug. You do not need to worry about complicated tricks or techniques – just throw it correctly, get it spinning, and bring the yoyo back.

Features of responsive yoyos

  • Simple and intuitive control
  • Returns with a classic tug
  • Reliable and durable construction
