Around the World

Around the World is a fun trick for practicing and showing off with friends – you can repeat it multiple times and see who can get the most rotations on a single spin. Just always make sure you have enough space around you: in front, behind, and above you. 🙌

How to do Around the World

Start the same way as with Forward Pass. This time, however, do not bring the yoyo back when it is in front of you – let it continue around your body. It helps a lot if you release the yoyo a little earlier and let it unwind from the bottom.

Tip for smoother rotations

The straighter you throw (and the cleaner the path the yoyo travels), the easier it will be to make more rotations. If the yoyo starts drifting or pulling to one side, go back a step and adjust your Breakaway/Forward Pass – often it is just about relaxing your wrist.

Which yoyo should you start with?

The best choice when starting is a responsive yoyo – a yoyo for beginners that automatically returns with a tug. You do not need to worry about complicated tricks or techniques – just throw it correctly, get it spinning, and bring the yoyo back.

Features of responsive yoyos

  • Simple and intuitive control
  • Returns with a classic tug
  • Reliable and durable construction
