Vašek started yoyoing in 2002 after his older brother Kuba brought home a yo-yo borrowed from a friend at school. They immediately began learning their first tricks together, and just a few weeks later, Vašek found his very own yo-yo under the Christmas tree—the legendary yellow Duncan Freehand 2. His progress was incredibly fast, and before long he became the very first sponsored yo-yo player in the Czech Republic.

He was soon picked up by YoYoFactory, a brand he proudly represents to this day. Although he no longer competes professionally on stage, he remains one of the key figures in the European yo-yo scene. Today he serves as the head of YoYoFactory Europe, overseeing the distribution and development of YoYoFactory products across Europe.

Vašek was also one of the five co-founders of SLUSNY. Just like at YoYoFactory, his role today focuses primarily on business development and strategy. For him, yoyoing is the perfect combination of work, a lifelong passion, and the close friends with whom he helped build one of Central Europe's largest yo-yo communities.

What fascinates him most about yoyoing is how such a small toy contains an incredibly vast world. Competition, community, creativity, music, sport, and personal style all come together to make yoyoing truly unique. When he's not working or traveling for yo-yo events, he enjoys hiking in the mountains, riding motorcycles, going to the gym, and playing ice hockey.
