Oliver discovered yo-yoing completely by chance. During a trip to the Škoda Museum near Benešov, his mom bought him his very first classic plastic yo-yo from the souvenir shop. As soon as he got home, he immediately started looking for more information online. He discovered videos by Ann Bubák and learned that there was a specialized SLUSNY shop in Prague's Vinohrady district. He visited the shop soon after, and from that moment on, yo-yoing completely captivated him.
Even though he has been yo-yoing for five years, Oliver still feels like he is only at the beginning of his journey and that there is always more to learn. He spends most of his free time at our shop, training hard and working on new tricks. His incredible talent has not gone unnoticed in the yo-yo world, and today he proudly represents our SLUSNY Youngsters team as well as the renowned Hong Kong-based brand C3yoyodesign as part of their Rising Force division.
On the competition scene, Oliver has been achieving one great result after another in the junior category, with strong performances at the Czech Yoyo Cup events in Brno and Chotěboř. He is also slowly making his mark in the adult category, most recently taking silver in Kněževes. He is currently preparing intensively for the World Yo-Yo Contest in Japan and is excited to see where yo-yoing will take him in life.
Outside of yo-yoing, Oliver is still attending elementary school and has been actively involved in fingerboarding since childhood. His other hobbies include rugby, and he also enjoys going skateboarding from time to time.
