Green Triangle

How to do the Green Triangle

The Green Triangle, or GT for short, is one of the most used tricks ever. Probably every yo-yoer has several ways to get into GT. This is the most basic one. The yo-yo is put into the Green Triangle by throwing the yo-yo out of the Trapeze to the left. The string wraps around the left middle finger and the yo-yo continues to move towards the right hand. The yo-yo wraps around the right wrist and ends up on the string it comes from, not on the fingertip, which is tied to the finger.

The right direction to hop out

Then all you have to do is slide the loop from your wrist to the string and you have GT. When you get out of this trick, you have to get the yo-yo out of the strings towards you. If you throw it out of the triangle towards you, you will have a knot on the string.

Which yoyo should you use for advanced tricks?

For advanced tricks, an unresponsive yoyo is the best choice. Unlike beginner yoyos it does not come back on a tug – it returns with a trick called the Bind. Thanks to that it can spin much longer and handle more difficult tricks.

Features of unresponsive yoyos

  • Long spin time (Sleeper)
  • Higher stability and performance
  • Yoyo returns with the Bind trick
  • Great for competitions
