Filip discovered yoyoing in 2011 thanks to the Disney Channel series The Suite Life on Deck, where yoyo player Grant Johnson appeared. His very first yoyo was a Freehand model, which he bought from a school friend. His first real yoyo partner was Michael Malík, and the two became friends after Filip defeated him in a battle at SJC 2013.

His first sponsor was the Czech company Floutek, where he spent a little over a year. He then joined the legendary YoYoFactory team, where he stayed for two to three years. After leaving YoYoFactory, he was independent for a while before joining The Good Life YoYos. Under their brand, his first signature model The Pharaoh was created, followed later by its improved version, Pharaoh +.

In 2022, Filip’s friend and long-time favorite yoyer Tony Šec founded the brand Empathy. In 2023, Filip joined their team, and his next signature yoyo, the Eminence, was created.

For Filip, just like for many Czech yoyers, SLUSNY has always represented the absolute top of the yoyo scene. When Bubi approached him with an offer to join our team, it was a huge honor for him and he immediately accepted the collaboration.

What Filip enjoys most about yoyoing is the combination of everything it brings – an amazing group of friends, traveling, and the excitement of competition. Outside of yoyoing, he is passionate about boxing, as he has always enjoyed sports that bring energy and a strong adrenaline rush.
