Eli Hops

Eli Hops is probably the most spectacular yoyo trick ever! At the beginning, you have to pull both hands slightly apart to make the yoyo move upwards. When the yoyo flies upwards, you bring your hands together until they touch each other. Then we start to move our hands apart, which makes the yoyo start to fall down onto the string.

Watch out for the competition rules

In a competition, it is important that the hands really touch, which is one of the conditions for performing this trick correctly.

Which yoyo should you use for advanced tricks?

For advanced tricks, an unresponsive yoyo is the best choice. Unlike beginner yoyos it does not come back on a tug – it returns with a trick called the Bind. Thanks to that it can spin much longer and handle more difficult tricks.

Features of unresponsive yoyos

  • Long spin time (Sleeper)
  • Higher stability and performance
  • Yoyo returns with the Bind trick
  • Great for competitions
