Cascade

How to start

Cascade, or kaskáda in Czech, is a spectacular trick. It starts in Double or Nothing, from which you jump into the brother by moving the yoyo upwards, releasing the loop from the left index finger and letting the yoyo land on the string that is furthest in front. You can get from the brother to the Trapeze in the same way.

The opposite direction

The opposite direction is a little more difficult. Send the yoyo upwards again and with your right hand from the left side you grab the string leading from the yoyo and the yoyo will land on it. This will get you into the brother.

Back into Double or Nothing

Now you get the yoyo into the air again and with your left index finger from the right side you grab the string leading from the yoyo and the yoyo will land on it in the Double or Nothing trick. When you make the last jump into Double, it is good to have the first loop as close to your palm as possible and to catch the second one with your fingertip.

Which yoyo should you use for advanced tricks?

For advanced tricks, an unresponsive yoyo is the best choice. Unlike beginner yoyos it does not come back on a tug – it returns with a trick called the Bind. Thanks to that it can spin much longer and handle more difficult tricks.

Features of unresponsive yoyos

  • Long spin time (Sleeper)
  • Higher stability and performance
  • Yoyo returns with the Bind trick
  • Great for competitions
