Brent Stole
To really nail the Brent Stole, you need to be very good at the Hook, because the throw is exactly the same. The rest, however, is different. With the Hook, the entire loop breaks over your index finger; with the Brent Stole, you only catch the string that is closer to you in that same loop. The loop breaks on the string and creates a GT. At the same time, you have to move your throwing hand a little forward. This entire movement must take place when the yoyo is below the level of the string, i.e. lower than the stretched string from your middle finger.
Which yoyo should you use for advanced tricks?
For advanced tricks, an unresponsive yoyo is the best choice. Unlike beginner yoyos it does not come back on a tug – it returns with a trick called the Bind. Thanks to that it can spin much longer and handle more difficult tricks.
