Five times, smoothly: practising how to link tricks into a combo

3 Five is a combo that teaches the player to connect tricks together and thus create a combo. In this tutorial, Ann Connolly will teach you a combination of 5x Barrel Rolls, 5x Mach 5 and 5x Boing-e-Boing. You can choose the order of the tricks to complete the 3 Five yourself, but the point is to complete each trick at least 5 times and everything must be done in one throw.

Which yoyo should you use for advanced tricks?

For advanced tricks, an unresponsive yoyo is the best choice. Unlike beginner yoyos it does not come back on a tug – it returns with a trick called the Bind. Thanks to that it can spin much longer and handle more difficult tricks.
