Czech Yoyo Nationals 2025
Czech YoYo National Championship 2025
On November 8th, the Vzlet Theatre in Prague’s Vršovice district transformed into something that felt more like a world-class yoyo mega-event than a traditional theatre. Players from all over the country (and even abroad) came to show what they’ve been training over the past year. And there was plenty to watch — this year’s Czech National YoYo Championship was one of the strongest in recent years.
Tricklist kicked off the day — and brought instant drama
The competition opened with the Tricklist category, featuring over 20 competitors. The atmosphere was tense right from the morning, as only 9 players advanced to the super-final.
And how do you break a tie when performances are so close?
Of course — with a Long Sleeper battle!
A super intense moment followed, and the loudest applause of the morning went to the winner, Ema Jeřábková. Congratulations!
1A Pro Prelim & 1A Open Qualifiers — Kačka absolutely crushed it
After Tricklist, the big show continued with the 1A Pro Prelim and 1A Open qualifiers. And here we have to highlight one moment:
👉 Kateřina Halíková absolutely destroyed the qualifiers.
Her freestyle was technically clean, energetic, and instantly won over the crowd. And this wasn’t the last time we heard her name that day…
Junior Division — young blood proving the Czech scene has a bright future
The Junior category is always a showcase of rising talent, and this year was no exception.
We saw promising newcomers, future stars… and in the end, the champion:
🥇 Tonda Mráz — this kid has a huge future ahead. Big congratulations!
A finals block packed with stars
When the finals began, Vzlet was buzzing with energy. The lineup was stacked, and the results reflected that:
-
Women: 🥇 Kateřina Halíková — absolute dominance
-
X Division: 🥇 Attila Nagy (Hungary) — fantastic 4A tricks perfectly synced with the music
-
1A Open: 🥇 Simon Dubischar (Germany) — a freestyle full of slacks and extremely difficult lacerations
-
1A Pro: 🥇 Jakub Dolejš — who else? The world vice-champion showed that on the Czech scene, he’s on another level
Overall impression? One of the best nationals in years
The Vzlet Theatre gave the event a professional vibe, the talent on stage was unreal, and the atmosphere? Absolutely electric.
Huge thanks to all competitors, organizers, and everyone who came to watch — this really felt like a celebration of yoyoing.
And if you missed any of the freestyles live, no worries — everything is already online on YouTube:
